Descriptions:

Eagle River Nordic Ski Club will be offering some day tours on weekends.  Please contact Ros Singleton 696-2702 ris2@cdc.gov if you want to be on an e-mail list for backcountry tours. We have two tours scheduled with more to come.  Please contact the tour leader if you are interested in joining a tour.  The only requirement is membership in Eagle River Nordic Ski Club.

Eagle River Nature Center
Diane Blas will be leading a tour from the Eagle River Nature Center on Saturday, February 10th at 11:00am.  Meet at the Eagle River Nature Center – mile 12 Eagle River Road at a few minutes before 11am. Please contact Diane if you are interested in the tour at 688-2357 or dianeblas@aol.com.

Chugach State Park – Eagle Lake
Scott Bailey will be leading an all day tour out of the Chugach State Park (end of Hiland Rd) to Eagle Lake.  Meet at the corner of Hiland Rd and Eagle River Loop Rd. at 9:15.  Will drive to Chugach State Park trailhead from there.  All day tour – will need lunch, warm clothes including wind pants and jacket.  Metal edge waxless skis or waxable with climbing skins easiest for the first part but any backcountry skis will work.
